Fun-kay Kitchen

Tasked with transforming a dark, dated kitchen into a space ideal for entertaining, we opened up this space to create a bright, airy atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the homeowner’s bubbly personality, we selected a colorful encaustic tile backsplash as the focus for our design, selecting glamorous pendants, oversized cabinet knobs, and yellow accents to complete the look. The result is a playful kitchen infused with warmth and whimsy.

By completely gutting the old kitchen, we were able to start with a clean slate and to integrate the homeowner’s list of requirements. Both love to entertain, so this included two refrigerators, a full pantry, an island, a large-capacity 48-inch Viking range and two dishwashers.

The cabinetry was all custom made and features Shaker-style bones.
