2008 - PA DE ASLA Merit Award Winner

We turned the tables on this site’s challenging topography, capitalizing upon it to create a series of terraced spaces surrounding the Nantucket-style home. The vanishing-edge pool and spa were sited to take full advantage of the stunning vistas through the trees and across the river valley. Thematically diverse garden rooms were sequentially spaced to enable an easy traverse of the entire property. Quiet seating areas, a cutting garden, an intriguing fountain, and several terraced entertainment areas all interconnect via secondary garden spaces, affording further opportunities for incorporation of eye-catching plantings.
