This is a very special project for me. Why? Because I did it. I did it all. It's one thing to design spaces with custom elements and test crazy design theories on a computer, but it's another thing to execute these designs in the real world. Finally, I got to see what it takes to make my antics into a reality. Furthermore, I was able to experience the unpredictable pressures that only contracted craftsmen experience. Crazy deadline shortening, faulty product issues, costly screw-ups, differences in client and contractor rationale, frustrating visits to the home center while on the clock, and challenging work environments just to name a few.

At the end of the day, I can't thank my family (the clients) enough for giving me this opportunity have near unlimited design freedom and to learn on the job while making it come to life. This small basement bathroom project has become my biggest educational experience and is one of my biggest trophies...

Just because it's a small room doesn't mean you can't go big! In fact, it should encourage you to go big. Yet, most people limit the potential of a project by their current perception of the space's size. Let this small bathroom experiment encourage you!
