7 1/2" Engineered White Oak was a great material for this project because the basement was concrete and below grade. The property also sits right on Lake Oswego. Moisture is always a concern given the location. We treated the concrete with a moisture/vapor barrier, then installed the flooring over the concrete using a specialized adhesive. The main level was typical nail down.

Engineered flooring is more moisture stable than typical all wood flooring. Typically when moisture is a concern we recommend an engineered product.
