MAXIMAL MINIMALISM for this young couple’s first home, we transformed a formerly white box condo in Greenpoint into a maximal-minimalist space that seamlessly blends two distinct design sensibilities. While one client wanted bold color and pattern, the other favored neutrals. The solution was to marry vibrant rugs and pops of color – such as the green appletini sofa and orange-red wishbone dining chairs – with a soothing combination of warm woods, textured wallcoverings, and calming paint colors. The space is now a deeply personal and unique home that is suitable for a growing family. Additionally, the open plan in the living and dining space doesn’t compromise the stunning NYC views!
