Hawthorne Hills Kitchenette
While the Owners were happy with the upper floor of their home, the lower lever was in need of a kitchenette to supplement the existing pool table area, theatre room, and patio space often used for entertaining guests. Since they didn’t wish to give up any exterior space with an addition to the house, there was a dark and scarcely used storage room that could be taken advantage of. In order to make the new kitchenette area accessible, a wall was simply removed to open it up to the room. Though the available space for the kitchenette was so tight it was likened to designing in the cabin of a boat, we gave enough attention to detail and placement of elements to include all items on the Owners Wishlist while keeping the space feeling light, bright, and open.
