The client at the Hearthstone Home works with the national basketball team, and required his home to function as a "big man's house". Ceilings were removed wherever possible to allow the rooflines to soar and create a more voluminous sense of place. The home was reconfigured to more appropriately engage the landscape that it was set into. The kitchen was relocated to function more closely with the view through a forested ravine. A teppanyaki grill was added as an element chosen by the client to enhance their cooking and dining.
