This home was shifting due to bentonite in the soil. Located near C-470 and Bowles, it was in need of a new finish. The square doors in the walls are access holes for the steel plates in the concrete to prevent further shifting in the foundation. My guys and I went in and demoed out the whole finish of this basement and redid the entire space. we changed an oversized laundry room into 2 bathrooms and redid the existing bedroom. There was a wall at the bottom of the steps and door at the end of a small hallway. We opted to open that up and install a hand rail to open the space up a bit.

The square wrap around the post in the middle is painted with chalkboard paint so her daughters could draw on it and I thought it'd be a fun little addition to the project.
