More photos coming soon! These clients in Palatine, IL received a total overhaul of their spacious colonial. The biggest project was knocking out the wall into the dining room to create a sprawling gourmet kitchen where they can both cook and entertain family and friends. Old oak baseboards and trim were replaced with higher profile white ones throughout, which instantly gives this home a more modern and bright look. The rarely used second living room was turned into a "chat room" with 4 lounge chairs and a large ottoman, which the husband describes as a place where their teenagers will actually sit and talk with them! New soft grey paint on the walls, new furniture, art, and accessories give the main floor a modern chic look.

The transformation continued to the second floor where the biggest project was reconfiguring the master bath. We nixed the large garden tub that was never used in favor of a huge shower and added a much-needed closet where the old shower had been.
