The house was non-descript but the clients were anything but that. With houses in San Francisco and Cabo, they wanted a truly unique landscape that would complement and enhance what they envisioned for the house. The house sat four feet above the street and we decided to depress the forecourt to accentuate the architectural features of the house and create unique and enhance the entry into the house. The backyard was dominated by the pool and not wishing to completely remove the pool, we shortened the pool and removed the spa and created a truly unique environment with a bridging deck and rich travertine deck overlay that complimented the travertine forecourt in the front.
