The Highlands House sits on a deep lot which allows for the house to be set back from the street a good distance and still have a huge, park like back yard. The sides of the house extend out to protect the central core, a double height space that all other spaces connect to. The use of exposed beams and overlapping roof forms with clerestories gives the interiors a light filled rhythm.
