This bathroom was in need of an upgrade. The couple in this home was getting older, and didn't want to step over the edge of the tub just to shower. The old vinyl tub surround was replaced with a custom tiled shower, meaning a much lower threshold, and a much better look!

The couple in this home were getting older, and didn't want to step into the tub in order to shower. The curb on the new tiled shower is 14 inches lower, and the pebbled floor offers much better grip than the old vinyl tub.

For a smaller shower, a fold-away bench adds function without sacrificing space. Acacia wood is a fine choice for wet areas. When dealing with exterior walls, a niche is not an option: these shelves are custom made of the same tiles as the wall.

With accent areas like a window, take time to notice the details. When the grout lines continue into the window well, it helps tie it in to the surrounding area. How did your tile guy do with the lines; are they clean? Is the trim on the same plane as the wall, or does it stick out all over?
