The main portion of this home was "rescued" from Franklin Tennessee, and was known as the "Cotton Gin House" or the "Blue House" (because of the blue vinyl siding that encased the old house). In order to make way for the Battle of Franklin battlefield park, this home was moved to its present spot in Giles County Tennessee. The main front portion and front porch were preserved and a new addition was added to the rear of the structure. Another piece that was moved that was actually the oldest portion of the house now serves as a detached guest house, clad in reclaimed vertical siding to contrast with the main house.
