KDNK

Literal "home" to KDNK Community Public Radio. As a volunteer-driven public radio station, this humble shack houses the spirit of an ever-evolving, expanding radio community with a long history, larger than life characters, and complex stories. This renovation was spearheaded by a former station manager, a self-acknowledged river rat. Rivers were an irresistible siren song, a call to adventures away from his role with the radio station.

The landscape renovation was an homage to the adventurer in all of us, and for the radio volunteers spinning the soundtrack to our chill times - or as river people in the southwest call it, Chama Time. Designed in the spirit of a riverside campground, this once neglected patch of dirt, weeds and overflow storage now holds space for lunch, smoke breaks, heartfelt conversations, business meetings, and community gatherings.
