I added 2 raised veggie beds made of redwood. We added easily removed bird netting to prevent critters from feasting on the family veggies. Each of the 4 kids has selected their favorites.

We potted a tangerine tree in a beautiful Talavera pot. Everywhere you look in this garden is a sign that this garden is Kid-Friendly!

A Panamint Nectarine is planted near the back patio. Just right for snacking on ripe fruit next summer. There are blueberries in one of the Talavera Pots.

The Arctostaphylos 'Dr. Hurd' will grow slowly to fill this bed. The Anagallis arvensis 'Wildcat Blue' are just starting to bloom.

Here you see the playhouse that is used regularly by the kids. The Puppy, Ginny, relaxes underneath in the shade on hot summer afternoons.

Heliotrope is one of my favorite plants. I placed it here near the eating area so that the area is permeated with the event of vanilla.

Gaura lindheimeri was used in the narrow beds adjacent to the front gate. I love that plant for the movement and never-ending color.
