The basement of this Kirkland home used to feel cold all the time, the laundry room felt small and inefficient. The media room is a good sized room, but it needed some reinventing as the room is used for watching movies and for kids as their play area. With the new design, the media room doubles as an entertainment room with a modern bar, built-in wine fridge, kegerator, top notch theater system, as well as a kids playroom with adequate storage. Redesigning the laundry room has created more counter space, storage, and an efficient layout. Doing laundry is no longer a chore -- it is a joy! We also added radiant heated flooring in the basement as well as insulation in the walls to enhance the comfortability of the room. We also increased the storage space by adding square footage and finishing the space under the stairs.
