The Kitchen

The Challenge
A narrow galley layout constrained both the function and feeling of the space. With limited room to work and no architectural features to draw the eye upward or outward, the kitchen felt closed off and lacked openness. The goal was to transform a purely utilitarian corridor into something expansive, personal, and genuinely stunning without sacrificing efficiency.
The Solution
A cathedral ceiling became the defining move, instantly lifting the space and creating the sense of volume the original layout denied. A bold Bertazzoni range in deep orange was selected as the room's personality anchor, its sculptural presence balanced by a custom hood finished in rich navy. Rather than competing, the two hues work in concert, opposites on the color wheel, finding harmony through proportion and craftsmanship. A full quartz slab backsplash introduced a seamless, high-end finish that feels luxurious while keeping the visual field clean and uncluttered.
The Result
What was once a narrow, closed-off galley is now a coastal-chic kitchen that balances European boldness with lakeside ease. The space feels expansive, vibrant, and unmistakably considered, a room that performs beautifully and makes a statement doing it.
