My clients had a built a beautiful home that sits on a lake.
They moved in with a minimum amount furniture, as they wanted to really get a feel for how their young, growing family would use the space.
I was hired a year later and immediately drew up some floor plans, and began discussions on the aesthetic that they were looking to achieve. The entire back of the home has water views, so we obviously wanted to highlight that, and where ever possible, bring the outside in. in the family room we used watery blues and greens along with neutral grey walls. WE were able to find most of the furniture locally, but had a custom sectional made for the specific dimensions that we were looking for. In the dining area we had a custom Walnut dining table made, with extensions and a geometric metal base. We paired that with modern leather dining chairs that would withstand heavy use and lots of spills.
