Lakefront Lodge
Designed as a full transformation of an existing lakefront home, this six-bedroom, four-bath Legacy Home⢠reorients daily life around water, light, and connection to the outdoors.
While the home offered generous square footage, its layout and character limited how the family experienced the lake. The redesign opened key living spaces, clarified circulation, and established stronger visual and physical connections from the front entry through to the water beyond.
Indoor and outdoor living operate as one continuous experience. Spanning more than 5,000 square feet across three levels ā each with direct access to the outdoors ā the home creates a layered sequence of exterior spaces, including a covered porch, open deck, balcony, patio, pool terrace, and direct connection to the dock. These spaces offer multiple ways to gather, retreat, and move with the rhythms of the day, while large openings and reconfigured sightlines keep the lake present from nearly every primary space.
The architectural language shifts to reflect its setting ā replacing a heavy, dated exterior with a lighter shingle-inspired palette, refined detailing, and a more relaxed, lake-appropriate character. A new front porch softens the entry experience while providing shade and a clear sense of arrival.
The result is a home that invites movement between inside and out ā designed for long summer days, extended family stays, and a lasting connection to life on the water.
