This was a historic lakehouse that had been submerged for many years. We were contracted to raise it and restore it. We drove wooden timbers into the lake bed, and then built and interior framework not connected to the lakehouse. Separately a temporary bracing frame was installed on the lakehouse and this was used to lift the structure, with hydraulic jacks, sliding up the interior frame like a sleeve until the proper height was reached, several inches at a time. Once we lifted it to the new height, it was bolted to the interior frame and the temporary bracing removed. Then the restoration of the floor and porch began.
