This mid century modern home in Durham, NC needed a real updating, but on a budget. We opened up the space, more in keeping with the era and carefully added a window to enhance sight lines. The old fireplace was stripped of its former faux black stone and a striking new fireplace dimensional tile surround was added. New kitchen cabinets in cherry added warmth and a unified design to the space.
