This kitchen is a wonderful example of honed imperial danby marble. Danby marble is quarried domestically in Vermont and is a wonderful less expensive alternative to Calacatta Gold. Although its veining is much different than its Italian counterpart, its tonal range is similar, with a very white background with gold and brown highlights.
