Scarsdale Estate Stonework
We love taking on challenges at Rye Marble. Challenges are what we excel at. This particular kitchen really tested the limits of our skill and equipment. Of no surprise to us, we completed this project flawlessly and on time.
What was so difficult with this particular kitchen was the combination of material, Crema Oniciata (which is also known as Nacarado) and the chosen edge. The edge was a 2 1/4″ drop miter. Miters have been increasingly popular over the past five years. Rye Marble is the only choice for perfect miters, with nearly undetectable seams. Due to the incredible hard composition of the material, and the precision needed to execute a perfect miter, we had to be extremely patient and cut very slow.
The result is a spectacular kitchen that appears to be 2 1/4″ thick, has a massive island, and a prominent full height backsplash behind the range and underneath the wonderful hand made and hammered copper hood.
The bathrooms four main elements are the two vanity tops which flank a jacuzzi tub and a huge shower. The material chosen was Calacatta Borghini, a stunning Italian marble, that matches the floor. At rye marble, we LOVE italian white marbles. This is one amazing bath, in an amazing house!
