Leawood Cabinets

The homeowner was happy with the layout of the kitchen, but wanted an updated look without a complete remodel. Raised panel doors and drawers were replaced with custom made mission style, flat panel door. Laminate countertops were replaced with granite. A new tile backsplash was installed. Oil-rubbed bronze hardware replaced the brass hardware. All cabinetry, trim, ceilings and walls were painted.

In preparation for the painting, the wood floor was completely masked, tile backsplash was removed and all cabinet doors were removed. In the meantime, new cabinet doors and drawers were being custom made to the homeowner's specifications.

Almost there! New cabinet doors were finished offsite, granite countertops were installed, tile backsplash was installed as well as new lighting and hardware.

Done! The new cabinet doors and drawers were more traditional, flat panel style per the homeowner's request. Doors and drawers fit perfectly and were fitted with oil-rubbed bronze hinges and pulls. Black granite countertops were installed and existing appliances were re-used.

In addition to the cabinets, all trim, ceilings and walls were repainted with new colors. All in all, the homeowner has the kitchen she wanted without having to replace the entire room.
