Leawood Kitchen Transformation

This family wanted to open up their kitchen. It was very tight in available space throughout the preparation area. The island wasn't being used for anything more than a place to have items sit on top of. The existing pantry was not much more than a converted closet off of the laundry room. The 1/2 bath off the kitchen was being underutilized as well. The kitchen was shut off from the entertainment area.
We removed the 1/2 bath completely and built out from the garage wall to set up a large walk-in pantry. By relocating walls we were able to open up new floor space for the kitchen. We also removed the wall separating the kitchen from the living room to allow for a larger total entertainment space. New cabinetry, countertops and backsplash. New appliances and additional lighting. New hardwood flooring throughout and in to the living room and of course all new paint.
