Very spacious townhouse with vaulted ceilings had one major design flaw...barely any natural light. The only light came through a patio door which faces south west and did not light up the room enough even when the sun was shining. The only ceiling light was a small track light that was meant to highlight the fireplace. I designed a drop down coffer that could tie in with the existing electrical to the track light and then run a rectangle around the ceiling to install bright and eco friendly LED puck lights. These were of course put on a dimmer so in the winter you could control how much light you wanted. The same was done to the family room downstairs where the same problem existed.
