Marina Flat

The client is a young professional who wished to retain the flat's original craftsman style fireplace and natural woodwork in the homes entry and living room. Contemporary styled furnishings were chosen to pay homage to the craftsman aesthetic while updating the rooms in a transitional design style.

Beaded glass doors break up the bank of upper cabinets and reflect the light of the window on the opposite wall. By relocating an existing door to the hall we were able to provide another unbroken workspace, cabinet storage and a wine refrigerator.

This powder room originally only housed a toilet. Installing a wall mounted toilet and a pocket door allowed enough space for a corner sink and cabinet. A new painted wainscot and period style light fixtures and faucet keeps it in the flat's craftsman style but with a fresher updated look.
