This is an ongoing project. The house was built over 15 years ago and originally furnished by the architect. The property is located in Sonoma county with spectacular views. I worked with the homeowner to update the furnishings and warm up the cool limestone and concrete surfaces. The color scheme was inspired by the client's love of the color purple and her collection of amethyst glass and turned wood objects. I chose fabrics that were in earthy shades of purple, designed custom area rugs made in Tibet and added Conrad woven shades to filter the strong light. The burl wood side table echos the turned wood collection and existing mahogany cabinetry. A new A Rudin sectional and velvet benches add warmth and comfort to the cooler surfaces of the floor and coffee table. Aubergine grass cloth was installed on the back walls of the book cases to compliment the wood and ceramic collection. The new table and upholstered chairs double as a library table and secondary dining area.
The master bath featured below was remodeled with an integrated glass sink, a mirror with integrated lights and a TV. The new custom steam shower, walls and floors are clad in marble tiles.
