Chef Matt Kelly's Mateo Tapas was nominated as a semifinalist by the James Beard Foundation, just a few short months after opening. HGID was hired to take the upper dining room of this historic building from dilapidated to extraordinary. Luxurious textures combined with reclaimed NC farm materials to land the look.
