Mercer Island Deck

Working with H2d, Logan’s Hammer removed the old deck and built an expansive curved deck to wrap around the entire east side of the house. The end result was added square footage, functionality, and an open flow layout that can now be enjoyed year round.

We updated the island by extending it 2 feet, adding new matching cabinetry and a Caesar Stone scratch-resistant countertop.

By pushing out the kitchen 3 feet, this allowed for new maple cabinets, a wine fridge and more space above.

We removed and lifted the ceiling replacing it with a gabled, exposed beam ceiling, extending it over the new deck. Installing seamless corner windows and post-less sliding doors create a light filled open space environment.

New lighting and hardwoods tie in the sitting area and island to create the focal point of the main floor.

Cedar Soffits and an outdoor infrared heater create a cozy outdoor dining area.

A water tight seal lays under the solid Vancouver Bay 24” x 24” concrete pavers covering the 600 square foot deck. Metal and Cable railings create a modern and clean appearance; allowing for an unobstructed see-thru view of beautiful Lake Washington.
