Mid Century Ranch Conversion to Contemporary

This Remodel was extensive to say the least. I was actually surprised/worried when I first walked though the home back in 2000 with my client. It was the first of many projects that I have completed for them over the years. But since this was my first meeting with them I tried not to let it show what a dump i thought the home was. However, with a open mind we created something warm and inviting with the addition of substantially new architectural elements such as the barrel vaulted foyer ceiling and a 14' X 18' glass ceiling. The client's massive art collection was exciting to work with - how many people can say that they have hung an original painting by Picasso? The Donald Judd stack sculpture in the Dining room was one of the special pieces i found for the client to add to their collection. The hand stenciled dining room floor was by my in-house faux artist.
