New Jersey Home
Without question one of my favorite clients and now closest friends! She and her husband happen to live in my NYC apartment building. We became friends very quickly as they were about to purchase their first home outside of the city and had many questions for me. I was happy to transform their new home from a disaster to a wonderful first home for a soon to be family of three. As the years went by the family dynamics changed - and it was my pleasure to assist my friend and her two children in moving into yet another new home which I renovated and completed all in one very long holiday weekend.
Perhaps the fastest turn around project ever! I took down walls, changed out the kitchen and bathrooms and closets and flooring and finally painted and moved in all their furniture and art. I wanted the children to come home from vacation and move into a beautiful home designed just for them. This home renovation as well as the next few moves were gifts from me to a very special single mother.
Eventually true love found its way to her doorstep which lead us all to this home in Ridgewood NJ. Nothing, except for the exterior, of this home was saved from demolition and remodel. Kitchen, bathrooms, living and dining rooms were relocated and a spacious master bed and bath with his&hers walk in closets were added to the home. Ceilings and walls were opened up to expose wonderful unused spaces to create a more grand entrance and more open concept throughout.
This project was fun and fast as well! I flew in after they were handed the keys and redesigned the home in less than three days. Back in Vegas I drew up the new plans within a few days and upon city approval and permits flew back out for another three days to interview and hire the contractors.
The choice of contractors was what made this project flow without any snags whatsoever. We chose a young, not well seasoned, but ambitious and conscientious family man who proved to be a Godsend! His background was in woodworking but I knew he was the right choice! Ken Appel in NJ in case you are wondering.
