Combining a love for mid-century modern furnishings with a need for practical and functional kitchen space was a challenge in this home previously renovated to feel like an urban treehouse. The challenging layout of their kitchen and its mix of unmatched materials had daunted the owners, who love to cook. We unified the space into a cohesive design that includes a generous island with tons of storage, as well as glossy cabinetry, accents of stainless steel and mosaic tiles. In addition, the design better defined the entry and foyer, allowing space for dining and access to the living room.
