Modern Glamour
This predictably safe spec house underwent major renovations to become a focused and visually striking display of livable luxury. From the outset, the homeowners’ goal was for each space to make a lasting impression by using completely original materials and designs, and this designer delivered just that.
The original interior doors, which remained, provided inspiration for some new architectural details. The scope of work included new ceiling details, refacing/replacing cabinetry, demolishing the master bath, reworking the family room fireplace, selecting new carpet, paint and lighting.
Working within a tight budget led to many creative solutions, such as fabricating custom frames around Crate & Barrel bowls to create artwork above the master bath tub. MDF panels were routed and painted for inexpensive custom wall paneling. From the backlit lasercut wood panel in the master bedroom to the floating master vanities, each space was the culmination of both resourcefulness and distinct originality.
