This project was inspired by a Southern California aesthetic, aiming to capture maximum natural light and take advantage of the private wooded property. The front of the house only hints at what awaits once you step inside. We saved the grandness for the back of the house which instantly invites you outside with the double height ceilings and walls of glass, calling you outside to the rolling lawn down to the lake. Dramatic architectural arches are repeated in the front and back.

One thing we really wanted to do was create really intentional spaces based on the lifestyle of the family. A soundproof movie / gaming room is accessed through a secret hidden door. A second laundry room is accessed right off the lake for wet towels. Soundproof music room was designed for the musicians in the family. Every space was thoughtfully customized to their lifestyle personal. Every inch of the house really does get used.
