Modern Treetop Home

We started with a house with incredible bones and architecture but was crippled by a 1980s remodel gone bad.
Our job: turn around a 1980s remodel gone bad.
The kitchen was a tiny U-shaped galley that was tucked away and cramped. There was so much space begging to be used in a more family-friendly way, so we opened up the kitchen to take advantage of the original vaulted doug fir ceilings and the private tree top view.
Creating two islands gave the space a circular flow that makes cooking and entertaining a breeze. A combination of doug fir and Vanillawood’s signature high gloss white custom cabinetry was the perfect marriage to the bones of the house with a more modern vibe.
The result? Baby (aka the kitchen) is definitely no longer in the corner.
