Our clients, two tech executives love Frank LLoyd Wright. That was the inspiration for this house. Although not a true prairie style home, we like to call it "Prarie Inspired."

We started out with the idea to remodel their existing home. However, after a few versions of what was possible, they decided to explore a custom home. The original house was dark and oriented on the lot in such a way that the living areas and master bedroom were dark.

Rotating the home on the lot and adding a light tower over the stairs, we were able to flood the both the main level and basement with light all day long. The result is a light filled modern custom home.

We sited the house into the hillside so it has a single story fascade on the street level with a walk out basement from the game room below.
