This project is a refresh of an existing covered porch. The decking and railings are being replaced, the stairs rebuilt and several structural issues are being corrected. For the decking, we are using pressure treated "Kiln Dried After Treated" (or, KDAT) decking, and for the railings we are installing our standard "Deck Pros" railing system with a deck board as the top rail. Additionally, every area of the deck/porch that can be trimmed is being trimmed with with "1x" pressure treated trim boards: the roof fascia and soffits, the deck fascia, stringers and risers. This way, the entire structure is ready for stain.
