Montecito Spanish Villa
Old Spanish style mansion, built in the 1980s looks exactly like an original old California sprawling villa. All new interiors designed by Maraya Interior Design with the addition of new Andalusian extra thick plaster arches and real antique columns. Gold leafed antique furniture throughout the home gives a very formal feel for this St Louis family. Home overlooks the Montecito Bay, and has a complete guest apartment decorated with a chinese screen and open plan lounge area. The massive living room has a carved, ornate limestone fireplace, burgandy sofas and modern art. Across the home, the large family room is open to the new kitchen featuring an iron firescreen range back splash, plaster hood and large island. Wrought iron legs on the peninsula for a seating area overlooking the view of the sea. A spiral staircase in the entry leads to thick Moorish arches into other portions of the home, including formal sitting areas and a powder room with black and gold wallpaper with an iron lion vanity. Project Location: Montecito, Santa Barbara, CA. Designed by Maraya Interior Design. From their beautiful resort town of Ojai, they serve clients in Montecito, Hope Ranch, Malibu, Westlake and Calabasas, across the tri-county areas of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles, south to Hidden Hills- north through Solvang and more.
