Montgomery House
A stunning Victorian villa situated in the heart of Giffnock, Montgomery House was transformed from top to bottom by Julia Clare Interiors with a heritage-sensitive and sustainable approach, without compromising on a sleek, Modern aesthetic.
Julia Clare Interiors was contacted to redesign the full house and consult on use of space, interior alterations, colour and layout. This grand villa consists of five public rooms, five bedrooms with several bathrooms. Better use of all the rooms was made, with a new working space conservatory, attic conversion and a secret 'powder room' with bespoke cloak storage.
Lighting is a main design feature throughout the house with chandeliers and pendants to suit the large scale of each room. A mix of old and new creates an authentic atmosphere with new sofas sourced for each room, and antique furniture hand-painted and upholstered in modern fabrics. Heirlooms have bee reused and situated amongst new pieces and wallpaper and cushions from Julia Clare Interiors' own design collection add a unique and high-end look and feel throughout.
