This deck project was actually an extension of existing front porch and integrated composite decking with redwood rails with black balusters and redwood 2x12 fascia. At the existing front porch a sleep system was utilized because the existing concrete porch and stairs extended back into the existing home several feet. Being an Air Force Veteran, we also made sure that the flag still functioned on this deck. We achieved the planned goal of providing a cooler space for late afternoon and evening hanging out on the porch time.
