The mountain residence gets it's name for the incredible view of Mt. Tamalpais from the main living areas and bedrooms of this new home. The site had an old dilapidated 2 story house on a steep slope so the original design intent was to reuse the existing augmented foundations and build new within the majority of the existing footprint to save on demolition, off-haul, and new foundations. The highlights of the design are the fully retractable glass wall at the living/dining area and the expansive roof deck with a hot tub.
