The Clients had very specific requests due to their family’s allergies and environmental sensitivities in the design of their 13,000 square foot house. The house is energy efficient, utilizing geo-thermal and solar technologies as well as zoning. Mechanical systems and material selections were based on their “Green” attributes and their contributions to superior indoor air quality. Clawson worked with Civil Engineers to disturb as little soil as possible and a Landscape Designer and Forester to maintain as many of the existing trees and the natural setting. Clawson Architects was able to secure three variances for this project to allow for installation of Solar Panels and a Driveway that respected the natural setting. This 13,000 square foot house boasts, indoor outdoor fireplaces, bay windows with window seats and vaulted bedroom ceilings in every bed room. An Octagon shaped home theater, a custom wine cellar, gourmet, formal dining room for 20 guests and much, much more.
