When our Los Angeles clients remodeled their home in 2014, it was for a multitude of purposes. In addition to throwing the occasional dinner party, the couple also hosts conferences, seminars, and overnight retreats. Needless to say, maximized use of space was of the essence.

A dilapidated bungalow was replaced by two individual structures, approximately 1400 square feet each. The buildings are joined by a common courtyard, creating separate living quarters for residents, as well as privacy and plenty of space for overnight guests. While addressing the need to accommodate larger groups, the clients did not want to compromise function for more common daily uses – like a home office and gym. With some thoughtful space planning (and the use of multiple pieces by Resource Furniture), nearly every room performs multiple functions, creating an environment that is comfortable, stylish, and downright fun to explore.
