This tough property was either waterlogged or baking-dry. A series of dry creeks was installed, planted with native perennials, grasses and shrubs, giving a relaxed feel and inviting wildlife and pollinators. The homeowners asked for "a walk in the woods," and I gave them exactly that.
In back, a tired concrete patio and pool deck were replaced by lawn and cedar decking, with a new outdoor kitchen. A fire pit in a secluded corner invites cozy gatherings.
