Naturally Luxe

Infused with a rustic and natural flair, this extensive kitchen renovation has resulted in a cohesive design with functional workspace, floor-to ceiling storage, and rich wood tones shown around every corner. Among incorporating the client’s love for rustic and natural elements, the focus also called for an adjustment in the layout to accommodate additional seating and realignment of the existing architectural details to ensure symmetry with the adjacent living room.

DESIGN FEATURES:

• A two-sided fireplace between the kitchen and living room is repositioned to anchor the new space, while new ceiling treatments help distinguish various living areas and ensure a cohesive flow.

• Exceptional use of reclaimed wood including both hand hewn and rough sawn wood throughout the ceiling, fireplace mantel, butcher block island, stove hood, and window casings.

• Oak wood flooring salvaged from a tobacco barn, giving it its unique tone and rich shine that comes only from the unique process of drying and curing tobacco.

•Concrete perimeter countertops, aged bronze, hardware, wire cabinet mesh cabinet frontage and primitive light fixtures make for a dynamic of rustic and restrained.
