Updating a builder grade home with warmth and fresh styling

This home renovation included a new sunroom and kitchen layout designed by architect Michaela Mahady of SALA Architects, bath design by Xstyles Bath and all design detailing, material, color selection and project supervision provided by Jim Nancekivell, Nancekivell Home Planning & Design. Key to this project’s success was directing the design process to assure that all design elements worked together to create a unified whole for the entire home design.

Specific renovation and improvements included replacing all of the home’s windows, changing a few of the home’s architectural details including removal of curved walls, adding solid Maple flooring throughout the first floor and new interior doors and millwork throughout the home. Within the footprint, we removed walls between the kitchen and dining room and reworked the kitchen layout for better function and flow and redesigned the home’s stairway.
