This project included the landscape renovation of a 20 year old raised ranch home with an existing in-ground pool on one acre of native oak woodland. The design incorporated hedges of indigenous and adapted species to perform various functions, including visually diminishing the height at which the house projected above the site and definition of a pool “room” which also screened the pool fence and views from neighbors. Other plantings create a shady enclave for a bird bath and a colorful deer resistant welcome gesture.
