The 3,500 square foot residence stands on a tight corner lot along the Boardwalk in Venice, California. Walls of glass open to the flora and fauna of Venice Beach. An interior wall longitudinally bisects the narrow building creating a forced perspective, opening the 20' wide by 90' long space up to the Pacific Ocean. The utilities are contained within the service core. A double height atrium space serves as the entrance. A roof top deck provides panoramic views of the Coast. A solar canopy, rooftop garden and other sustainable building systems and materials are integral to the design of the highly sustainable building.
