How do you make a deck design look intentional when the house is out of square by a foot (intentional original design)? In this void between two of the living spaces, the homeowner wanted a deck to step out onto from his office, but with the house being askew, a straight board pattern deck would have looked....off. So, we redesigned the center to compensate for variances in the width, and made it appear much more intentional. Ventilation at the ends ensures excessive moisture doesn't build up underneath, with concrete footings to deter rodents.
